The Reina Sofía Museum is Spain’s contemporary art gallery in Madrid, and, covering contemporary art from 1900 till today, it deserves also a full-day scholar-led visit.

Madrid Original® suggests a guided tour paying particular attention to those aspects of the Thyssen collection that are complementary to Prado and Reina Sofía Museums: Italian Trecento and Quatrocento, German Renaissance, Dutch Baroque, English 18th century painting, French Impressionism, 20th century German Expressionism, Russian avant-garde, American Abstracts,...

"A morning with Picasso" guided visit will cover 10 works, representative of all his periods present in the Museum, from his early productions in "Belle Epoque" Paris to his "The painter and his model" 1960's series.

Madrid Original® 's "RivalsPicasso, Miró and Dalí" would cover a selection of 16 works of those three universal painters, created before the end of Spanish Civil War. This historic event will mark the limit of the period when the three could be considered to continue at the avant-garde of Modern Art, before new generations opened new trends and left them somehow behind. In our selection, we would include 7 Picasso ("Guernica" among them), 4 Miró and 5 Dalí.

"Reina Sofía essentials " will cover representative works by the most influential Spanish artists of the 20th century. The universal Picasso, Miró and Dalí will be joined by their revolutionary colleagues Juan Gris and Julio González among others, to come to our contemporary living legend: Tapiés. This tour will, of course include Picasso's Guernica.
