When Picasso created the "Suite Vollard", he knew he was creating a new mythical series in engraving history, comparable to Durer's "Apocalypse", Callot's "Misères", Piranesi's "Carceri" or Goya's "Caprichos". With it he added more glory to his name, and he immortalized definitely Editor Ambroise Vollard.

This historic event will mark the limit of the period when the three could be considered to continue at the avant-garde of Modern Art, before new generations opened new trends and left them somehow behind. In our selection, we would include 7 Picasso ("Guernica" among them), 4 Miró and 5 Dalí.
